On Monday in Congress Hall in Palce of Culture and Science in Warsaw we had drawing of lots for upcoming Men's World Championships in Poland. Inaugural match will be played at National Stadium in Warsaw!

Europe fights for WCH, Poland falls overboard!

From Friday to Sunday European women's teams played in five qualification tournaments to World Championships. Shocking news comes from Poland, where team with biggest names doesn't qualify to main competition in Italy!

All bookmakers’ predictions have turned up in the reality. Sada Cruzeiro claimed gold medal of the Men’s Club World Championships played at the native ground of Brazilians in Betim. Sada surprisingly easy defeated Lokomotiv Novosibirsk organising a real and straight volleyball cannonade for the Russians.This success of Sada is historical because the first not Italian win among best world clubs contest. The bronze medal went to previous monopolists of the tournament of Trentino Diatec that beat Argentineans from UPCN San Juan.

Trentino Diatec completed a bunch of the top four teams at the Club World Championships played in Betim. Italians had to overcame Japanese Panasonic Panthers and did that in straight and easy sets. In the Pool B, Club Sportif Sfaxlen was extremely close to make a huge surprise to beat favoured Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, but the Tunisians spoiled two match balls and have to walk around themselves with a taste.

The champion of South America, UPCN San Juan, shut up a fantastic series of 21 row wins of Trentino Diatec at Club World Championships. Argentineans beat 4 times champion in tie-break affixing seal to the first place in Pool A while Trentino has to defend its stay in Brazil in the last game against Panasonic Panthers. In Pool B, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and Sada Cruzeiro created the best game so far in Brazil finished with the triumph of Russians.

One the second day of the Men’s Club World Championship played in Batim, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, one of the favourites, moved to the contest. The CEV Champions League winners outclassed Dominican La Romana in straight sets reaching perfect 71 percentage efficiency of attacks. Panasonic Panthers of Japan saved chances to gain semi-final after defeating Iranian Kal-Kalleh while the host, Sada Cruzeiro, has already stolen a ticket to top 4 in the World from FIVB office.

No Juantorena, no Kaziyski, and no Raphael, but the aim is still the same – “To continue the winning streak and to win the Club World Championship 5th time in a row”. This is a delicate plan of brand-new Diatec Trentino on the next six days in Betim, Brazil. One of five steps was already made by the defending champion that overcame Kaleh Sports Club of Iran. In a duel of debutants, the best club of South America, UPCN San Juan, defeated Panasonic Panthers, the wild card beneficiary, with Dante Amaral on the court while bookmaker’s favourite and host of the tournament, Sada Cruzeiro, also achieved a positive inauguration with three-sets win over La Romama (Dominican Republic).

Vakifbank is going to stand in the decisive game in front of Unilever Volei Rio De Janeiro, which overcame the hosts of the tournament Volero Zurich.

Both the teams have already picked up semi-finals spots as well as Volero Zurich that defeated Kenya Prisons in straight sets and clashed Pool A.
