"We have created an online environment for the best volleyball players and coaches in the world to share their years of expertise," these are the words of Volleyball1on1 owner Andor Gyulai.
Why did you decide to make volleyball1on1?
I wanted to create an online environment for the best volleyball players and coaches in the world to share their years of expertise with the millions of people around the world that participate in the sport of volleyball at all levels of the game. Coming to the United States from South Africa (eventually playing for UCLA where we won a NCAA Championship in '98), I did not have access to quality instruction outside of my local area. For example, living in SA and being a volleyball enthusiast in the early 90's I would have to wait for the monthly Volleyball Magazine to come in from the US, and paid $25 (US) dollars per month to get it. Even though the publication offerd a fraction of the resources we do with Volleyball1on1.com, it was all I had access to so I soaked it all up. Even in recent years, I saw a need for greater access to quality instruction that adequately meets demand in the volleyball marketplace. With our content and reach capabilities of the internet, we're able to do this.
What exactly do you offer on your site?
We offer valuable video-based and written (i.e. blogs, articles, and a feature-rich weekly newsletter) content that caters to the volleyball community whether it be for players, coaches or enthusiasts and fans - there is something for everyone. Our primary offering however is both free and paid-for video instruction in a private and personal 1on1 enviornment in the form of serveral short videos (1-3 minutes in length) of tips, tools, drills, and resources from some of the best coaches and players in the world. We even have professionals subscribing to our site in order to keep on top of their game with practical and effective instruction from their peers - how cool is that?!?
What is the goal of your site?
The goal of our site includes servicing the needs of players and coaches with a passion for sharing their knowledge and giving back the sport as well as players, coaches and enthusiasts who seek the information and guidance our content provides. For instance, if someone would like assistance with developing any portion of their game or volleyball program they could discover tips, tools and resources found on Volleyball1on1 from seasoned pros who have been there and can offer easy to consume bits of wisdom that help solve their problems or enhance their volleyball-selves. In short, we help players and coaches on both sides of the fence by developing and maintaining a relationship with them that's win-win in nature.
Who could benefit from your lessons?
Virtually anyone involved with the game of volleyball will find value in our service of providing quality content every week to their inbox. This would include players of all ages, male and female as well as coaches of all levels - from beginners to experts at the highest level. As we grow, we'd like to hear more from our subscribers on what kind of content they'd like to see and if we don't already have it we'll seek to bring in the experts that can address what's being requested.
