Club world championship returns

Qatar agreed to host the event last year but due to financial problems the tournament did not take place. The club world championship is returning after 17-year log gap. The draw of the FIVB Menīs World Clubs Volleyball Championship will be held on August 13, 2009 with attendance of FIVB Vice president and representative of participating teams.

The Club World Championship will feature eight of the worldīs best Volleyball clubs, including Italyīs Trentino Volley, Egyptīs Zamalek, Iranīs Payakan, and Qatarīs Al Arabi Doha. The wild cards are Polandīs PGE Skra Belchatow and Russiaīs Dinamo Kazan, with teams from CSV and NORCECA to be determined at a later date.
