Trento is celebrating victory in Italian Serie A1 first time in a history of the club. An unforgettable success, in front of more then 4000 spectators who incited the team of Stoytchev throughout the match and that in the end have exploded in a long scream celebrating the new champions of Italy.

The success would be quite exciting but sweating, at least in the first part of the match, when a strong Piacenza sold skin struggling with the knife between the teeth thanks to 4 aces only in the first set. From the second part onwards, in fact, with the constancy in attack of Nikolov and especially Kaziyski (21 points in three sets and 61% in attack) Trento had match in the hands. The Bulgarian hammer was the absolute match-winner and also had the honour to close the match with a block-outt.  Kaziyski deserved to be the MVP of the finals.

Deserved victory which rewards a season in which the Itas Diatec Trentino recovered only 6 defeats (5 in regular season and 1 in the play off). For the Trentino Volley after the victory in 2005 with the Under 18, this is the second Italian title in its history, obviously the most beautiful and most expected after eight years of activity. This victory has for the players of Trentino a special flavor: none of them in fact had ever won italian championship before.

"This is a great satisfaction, because it was a championship suffered with a lot of work done and many physical problems. But we still have much work to do and that the public deserves many other satisfactions," commented at the end head coach of Trento Radostin Stoytchev.
