Historical victory of EA Patron

Panathinaikos still at the top of Greek volleyball league after the 16th round. Panathinaikos won important match against Olympiacos and created the gap between the first and second teams. In the 16th round Panathinaikos did not encountered particular difficulties in game with Panellionis which won 3-0 and remained alone in first place in the standings. "We did a great job in the first two sets, our block-defense and attack was just as it should be, "said Stelios Kazazis.

There has been three teams in the second place Iraklis, Olympiakos and EA Patron before the 16th round. EA Patron prevailed in the 16th derby 3-0 Olympiacos and celebrated the historic first home victory over Olympiacos. Patron move up in the standings to 2nd place. "Congratulations to my team to victory," said George Christopoulos after the historical win. Olympiacos is the third in ranking together with Iraklis which surprisingly lost in Aris. The invincibility of the Freddie Brooks on the bench of Iraklis, ended after the game in ARIS. Despite losing the first set, Aris finally managed to get the local derby.
