Last year you played in Piacenza. Were you satisfied with the season?
No, I am not sitsfied at all with the season, it was really hard until the last match and the atmosphere wasn't really good, a lot of pressure and negative vibes, so it wasn't easy and we had not much fun!
What about your season in Verona and your personal goals?
I like Verona very much, I played here 3 years ago and i think it was my best season in Italy so i felt really well here and i continue to do so. The club does everything for the player to feel well and this helps us to show some good volleyball during the matches. Verona is a very nice city, I am very happy here!
If you compare the cities which one you like more Verona or Piacenza?
Verona is completely different, it's an old city with a lot of culture and the historical center is amazing and attracts a lot of tourists every year. It is close to the Garda lake which makes it even more interesting to live here. Piacenza is a normal italian city which has a lot of industry, so it's economically strong but not so beautiful.
German national team didn´t have good European championship. Do you know why your team lost all three pool matches?
Our preparation was not bad, we played some really good friendly matches against Brasil but I think we didn't work enough on the psycological aspect. We weren't prepared well enough to face our opponents when it counted. It's really a shame because we have a very good team with excellent players, but also the energy between coach and team wasn't the best unfortunately!
You will play with German national team pre-olympic qualification tournament in France in a month. What are you expectations? Win the tournament :-)
I will not play this tournament... I wasn't happy this summer because Lozano never gave me the opportunity to help the team. I don't know why but it is obvious that he doesn't trust me and my skills and so I decided to not play anymore as long as he is coach because it doesn't make sense for me.
