Superleague finals: Belogorie’s Golden Rush

Belogorie Belgorod became the new Russia’s Champion! Genadiy Shipulin’s players beat Ural Ufa closing the play-offs series already in the third game. It is second trophy gained by Belogorie this season. Previously, the brand new kings of volleyball in the best volleyball league in the world picked up the Russia’s Cup in December 2012.







April 30 will be remembered as the day of the abdications. In the Netherland, the Queen Beatrix decided to give up her post after 23-years Dominion while Zenit Kazan was casted down from the throne of Russian Superleague because has been already eliminated in semifinals by Belogorie Belgorod. In the final, Belogorie will face Ural Ufa which beat Gubernia Novgorod in four match competition. 
Belogorie Belgorod shot down Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and completed n the semifinals set-up. This phase will be historical because only Zenit Kazan repeated its last year’s success, and was promoted to the top four while Dinamo Moscow (vice-champion), Iskra Odincovo (Bronze medalist), and Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (4th place) will not be among bests.
Gubernia Nizhny Novgorod needed only three matches in order to get a ticket to the Great 4 in Russia. Two further spots were supplemented by Ural Ufa and the defending champion Zenit Kazan. Both the teams finished their quarter-finals competitions in the fourth episode . The last semi-seat is reserved for Belogorie Belgorod or Lokomotiv Novosibirsk. After two defeats in Novosibirsk, Belogorie clinched home court advantage and equalized the play-off score.
