Internet publications as well as social media have burst out with pictures and congratulating messages for the impeccable, undefeated team of USA – they went 5-0 in Omaha, Nebraska to claim the 2015 Grand Prix Final. Faultless performance for the American squad under the inspired leading of coach Karch Kiraly as they managed to ‘creak the rule’ and become the first ever team to claim the competition as hosting team.

With victories on the line, the USA had claimed the title earlier, on Saturday, when they defeated convincingly Brazil (3-0). One day later, on Sunday, the 26th of July, Omaha witnessed another success of their heroines, this time in front of China (3-0: 25-23, 25-19, 25-18). Karsta Lowe and Kelsey Robinson (former Nebraska athlete) topped the spikers charts and helped the team claim FIVB World Grand Prix, only one year after they clinched the Women’s World Championship. Final standing sets undefeated USA on the first place, followed by Russia (2nd) and Brazil (3rd), China (4th), Italy (5th) and Japan (6th). USA got away with no less than four individual prizes: Karsta Lowe received MVP of the competition reward, Molly Kreklow – Best Setter, Kelsey Robinson – Best Outside Hitter, Christa Dietzen – Best Middle Blocker.

Let’s see some stats after five amazing days CenturyLink, Omaha branded: 2,367 points scored, 63 sets played and 15 matches held, and last, but definitely not least, a lot of great souvenirs and an unforgettable performance for American volleyball fans.
