Konstantinov missing in World League

ImageBulgaria will be this year in World League missing the captain Plamen Konstantinov. 33 - year old Konstantinov is presently the player of ZSK-Gazprom Surgut in Russian Superleague.

 

 

Martin Stoev, coach of the succesful Bulgarian national team, will give chance to a young players in the hard program of his team. Bulgaria want to play at least final in European Championship in Russia. Finalist of European Championship will play World Cup in Japan, where is the first chance to qualify for Olympic games in Beijing. Konstantinov and his teammates were missing in Athens 2004, the team does not want to miss Beijing 2008 Olympic games.

Stoev, which received a very lucrative offer to be a coach of the Iran national team, will bring to national team eight young players: Nikolaj Nikolov, Ivan Stanev (Lukoil Neftochimik), Ivan Kolev (CSKA), Georgi Bratojev, Valentin Bratojev (Slavia Sofia), Cvetan Sokolov (Marek Union), Metodi Ananiev and Konstantin Mitev (Levski Sofia).

In the World league Bulgaria will be without J. Ivanov, he finished his national team career. First eight games also Plamen Konstantinov will not play. Bulgaria will meet in World League pool Poland, Argentina and China. In pool D Bulgaria can pay back to Poland for the semifinal in World Championship 2006.
