 First of the three volleyball european cups has the winner. Lube Banca Marche Macerata won the CEV Cup beating Iskra Odintsovo in final match 3:0.
Lube Banca Marche Macerata wins Cev Cup for the third time in CEV Cup history. Clear win both in semifinal vs Paris and in the final game vs Iskra. Ivan Miljkovic received MVP and best blocker prize, best spiker was his team-mate Rodrigao, best setter Sintini also from Macerata.
Ivan Miljkovic (MACERATA's team captain): “This is the third European Cup we have won in six years. In this final in Padova we have completed a masterpiece by beating both teams in straight sets. Our team is as great as never before.”
Tsvetnov (Iskra's head coach): “We were nervous, thus not able to show our usual game. The players were too worried about the opponent. Nevertheless, I'm pretty much satisfied with the second place.”
