1/4 finals of Italian Cup 2008

First team of Italian Championship, Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo, did not make any mistake and get the first spot for the semifinals in Milan where they will play against the winner between Lube Banca Marche Macerata and Cimone Modena. Wout Wijsmans (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): "We were favourites before the match, but each match has itw own story. We played well but not very well, few mistakes in any case. In Milan we will play against Modena or Macerata, it doesn't really matter which team...Let's see!"

The second match between M. Roma Volley and Copra Nordmeccanica Piacenza has been a much better show and a tight match. Any result could be possible. "We have been really good to get right a match that started in a very wrong direction for us. We were not playing really well but we have been patients. We have to be carefull in the semifinals because our opponents, Trento or Treviso, are playing really well," said after match Marco Molteni (M. Roma Volley).
 

Still two spots available for the TIM Cup A1 Final Four scheduled on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of March at the DatchForum di Assago (MI). Today, at the PalaBassano, four teams will battle to get the ticket and the pass for the next round. First match of the day will be: Modena - Maceratra. Second match Trento and Treviso will close the two days of matches in Bassano del Grappa.
