First time in a history of European Volleyball Championships Finland will play semifinals. Russia and Spain are also qualified for semifinals. Serbia is the last semifinalist.
Participating in semifinals is the biggest success of Finland ever. Best result of the Finland was 7th place in 1983. Russia won 3:2 with Italy. This victory secured to Russia first place in Pool F. Spain still did not lose one game in European Volleyball Championship 2007. Poland, Bulgaria, France and Italy - these strong teams and favorites of European Championship will be missing in semifinals. Last place is free. Serbia is the last semifinalist by better set ratio than Germany.
