The best volleyball league is played in Italy, named A1. Over there is playing M. Lebl, one of the best middle blockers on earth, captain of Czech National Team.

Competition

How many teams play in the competition? How many go lower, how many come up?
14 teams play. The last 2 go lower and the same number come up from A2
Which system do you play? ( basic part, play off, play-down )
Basic part everybody with each other ( at home-abroad ).First 8 teams play the play-off, accordence to classical key ( 1-8, 2-7...and so on. )
When does the competition start, when does it finish? How many matches a week?
In the end of October and the basic part will finish in the end of March, when the play-off starts. We play once a week, on Sunday at 6 pm.
Matches on TV? What time do the matches start?
There is a several matches every day, mostly regional TVs screen live broadcasts of their teams matches. Also it takes place the "Monday Night" that all-Italian cable channel screens the matches at 8 pm.
Visit rate of matches?
Average is about 2000-3000, it depends on importance of the match. About 6000 people watch the play-off then.
Level, quality of league, legionaries are ( maximum number ) ?
The most first-rate is the world league. The limit of every team is 4 legionaries.
Which balls do you play with?
Molten
Cups: How many teams are in the LM, CEV and in the other cups?

2 teams play the Champions League. 3 teams play the CEV cup.

Traveling

Departures to matches?
A day before by bus, longer distances by plane. Richer teams travel by chartered flight or they have their own plane.
Maximum distance, length of journey?
Over 900 km, by bus also 10 hours.
Infrastructure, quality?
High standard of payed motorways. The ways to the south are worse, all the infrastructure is backward compared to the north.
How many stars would you evaluate to the traveling? 1-bad, 5-the best


Clubs

Do they pay or give:
It depends on each player contract.

Vitamines and food adjuncts?
No.

2 doctors, 1 masseur, 1 physiotherapeut

It depends on "greatness" of each club.

Money

Average season pay?
Very different...from 5000 Euro for young Italian players to 300 000 Euro for the best players.
How much does the best star get?
I said, the best players get about 200 000 - 300 000 Euro, but I don´t know concretly, the pays aren´t published.
Average pay in the country?
1500 Euro a month
How many stars would you evaluate the money? 1-bad, 5-the best


Life

How much difficult is the language to learn?
The basis and beginner´s speaking is fairly simple, much more difficult is writing and grammar.
Life style, entertinement?
The Italian fashion is taken as one of the most progressive in the world and everything turns around a fashion ( I think that too much ).
Women and their charm?
The most beautiful are Czech girls :)
How much is 1/2 l of known beer in the restaurant? ( Heineken, Budweiser... )
