ImageSergey Tetyukhin will be missing in Japan. Tetyukhin made a deal after World League final with a russian national team coach (Zoran Gajic) to join the preparation camp of national team for the World Championship 2006.

 

 

Tetyukhin had a problem with a knee for a longer time. He visited in  September specialist in Germany. Doctor said: "The surgery can be delayed till the end of russian superleague championship". Tetyukhin decided to make a surgery now, he was not jumping since the end of October. 

Russia lost one of the key player. Zoran Gajic said: "We lost one of the best volleyball players of the world, the leader of our team. I do not have change for a player like him. Even without Tetyukhin our goal is still the same, to win a gold medal in Japan."
