A group of friends who enjoy playing both indoor volleyball and beach volley, decided to launch a petition in favour of the Beach Volley in Malta.

Jacob Gibb and Casey Patterson won the first Grand Slam of the year in a match against Pedro Salgado and Bruno Oscar Schmidt from Brazil. The bronze medals in Shanghai were also grabbed by Brazilians as Ricardo Alex Costa Santos and Alvaro Filho made up to their fans for the fourth place in Fuzhou last week by snatching the last podium place.

In what starts to seem as a tradition, an American team was most prepared for the 2013 World Tour season opener. The newly formed duo Rosenthal-Dalhausser was above all in the past week and won the Fuzhou Open.

Spring is still a taboo in some parts of the world these days. Regardless of weather's whims though the FIVB 2013 World Tour is set to start next week at the shores of China. Warm but moderately drizzly, Fuzhou will make its World Tour debut launching a revolutionary global campaign destined to bring beach volleyball across all continents.

The official countdown to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships 2013, which will take place in Stare Jablonki, Poland from July 1 to 7, got underway on Wednesday following the official launch press conference at the Hotel Intercontinental in Warsaw.
